This is just a friendly reminder that if you for some reason still enjoy investing time, energy and sweet sweet personal data in this garbage platform, and you use VoiceOver, the Spring app still works for basic timeline browsing. No algorithm, no missing tweet text.

Was just informed that Spring still works for accessing Twitter on Apple devices. It's basically the same interface I use on Mastodon, and I have it configured with the exact same layout. It's quite a strange experience.

Over on Mastodon, there are huge instances with alt text on 80% of photos, and everyday sighted people are describing media for their 50 followers just in case. Here, we can't even get @LinusTech to do it. I miss a few of you stragglers, but my home feed is just depressing.

Also apparently even private lists have random algorithm content in them now? I have a small list of people I (used to) keep up with, and now, at least 1 in 3 posts is from someone specifically not in the list. Twitter took the one non-algorithmic thing and ... algorithmed it.

* The new premium tab already has a huge accessibility issue—you can't pick between annual and monthly with VoiceOver on iOS.
* Premium doesn't even remove ads, just reduces them.
* I was asked to confirm that si***@s*****.me is the correct email. I ... think so???

Trying out @fonusmobile, which gives unlimited data in 55 countries and a VOIP plan.
Unfortunately I chose the wrong plan, and there is no way to refund or change the plan this month according to support. Yet again, service is good, systems are useless.

This entire platform is certified garbage. Even searching for information is exhausting. There is (no exaggeration) more promoted and suggested content than there is relevant content. And as we all knew would happen, accessibility of the iOS app is slowly degrading.

I want to read something devastating where the characters are dealing with a genuinely impossible situation. Not two perfectly comfortable people who are incapable apparently of being honest with each other. I am not a fan of the miscommunication trope I guess.

I open this app and all I see are people complaining about Twitter, tweets with millions of impressions and no alt text, and 280-character sadness. And my list has fewer than ten regular contributors now. I completely lost any sense of when my post is getting too long. So weird.

I don’t share much about my work over at Ableton but this is something I’m really proud of. I joined in November, started working with the Note team in December, by Feb we had a beta that was accessible to Voiceover and now it is in the App Store! #a11y

Opened my task manager to find 599 processes running. More than 300 of them were just OpenWith.exe.
No, I don't know why.
Remember when Windows XP had around 25 main processes and anything unusual would stick out like a sore thumb?
My computer could be running *anything* now.

2. I've recalibrated several times, switched between 6 dot to contracted, switched between screen away and table top modes, restarted #voiceover, and restarted my #iPhone . I'm going to email #Apple #accessibility , but I'm asking here first in case someone knows how to fix it
