Emotional scenes at 2026 World Snooker Championship as players, pundits, & Crucible crowd paid a heartfelt tribute to the late great John Virgo with a minute’s applause. ❤️
Six-time world champion Steve Davis was visibly overcome with emotion as he stood in the arena, clearly moved by the moment. 😢
As Hazel Irvine beautifully put it: “John was universally loved by everyone in this sport and well beyond it too. John really was the voice of snooker.”
A true legend gone, but never forgotten. RIP JV.
