Belfast ranks 32nd per capita for asylum seekers in the UK. Northern Ireland hosts 2,379 in total. That’s 0.1% of its population. NI is 97% white. Asylum seekers are not “illegal migrants”; they’re going through a legal government process. factcheckni.org/articles/imm…
Belfast houses more asylum seekers per capita than almost any other place in the UK. One in 200 people in Belfast is an illegal migrant. Who could possibly have foreseen civil unrest? It’s the immigration, stupid.

'Andy Burnham is like a PE teacher, it’s laughable that he could run the country.' @RachelSJohnson can't imagine ‘a more damaging thing to do to the country’ than replacing Keir Starmer with a man whose ‘main achievement' is deregulating Manchester’s busses.

90% of the migrants in Ireland come in from Britain via Northern Ireland. The only solution is a further hardening of the Irish sea border to include passport and immigration checks, immediately!

The UKG is a basket case. Hi, I’m the defence secretary. I’m resigning because I’ve no confidence in our defence, we’ve no money and we can’t protect ourselves. The rest of the world. . . . .

The horrifying attack that left a man with life-altering injuries sickened us all. However, what has since ensued isn't about justice, policy or protecting communities. It's about racism and we shouldn't give it any kind of legitimacy or respectability. - @EoinTennyson

Thing is, it’s easy to sanctimoniously declare violence is wrong. It’s not so easy to stand up and defend the rights of those who are migrants, immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers. The latter is what unionist leaders are failing to do.

Well done @YoungBobRB 👏

All the transition money on top of all the money from their monopoly on the drug market and with power and money they were left to coerce, control and groom young people for decades while communities crumbled round them.
Replying to @JamieBrysonLLB
Jamie, if as you say, the only way loyalist paramilitaries can influence young people in their community, is with coercive control & fear, you're essentially admitting they have failed to transition into a group of positive influence. So all that transition money was for what?

Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. And that is what we've been saying for the longest time. I see a lot of the same fights here."

Loth to engage in the hate on this foul platform, but want to point out that in the real world the vast majority of the people of Belfast are rejecting hatred, and an incredible number are volunteering time, supplies and goodwill to their neighbours. That's who we are.

The health service in northern ireland wouldn't function without migrant staff. Despicable behavior.
Yesterday evening, a nurse with "a different skin colour was chased into the Ulster Hospital by four masked men", according to Unison. Despite experiencing the trauma of that incident, Patricia McKeown says, the nurse "insisted on doing her shift". bbc.co.uk/news/live/c70y4ppp…
