New Zealanders always deserve to have their voices heard. The Government urgently rushing through their Māori Wards Bill undermines this. It's a decision that should be made by Kiwis for their local governments. That's not what's happening.

Yesterday over 50 of our beaches in Auckland were deemed high risk. Today isn't looking much better.
We shouldn't have to check an app before we go swimming. This issue requires urgent attention.

This year the Police have received almost 60,000 call-outs related to mental health (up from 46,000 in 2017).
Giving our frontline emergency staff the resources they need is essential to provide mental health pathways that are sensible and effective.
