2 years ago, on this date, like thieves in the night, Hartnell Taylor Crooks unlawfully closed Simpsons Tavern. Extinguishing a light that had burnt in the City of London for centuries Last year was planned as the celebration of 300 years of Simpsons 3 centuries (1 of some)

What is it with landlords and historic restaurants… The wonderful @SimpsonsTavern in London is also embroiled in a battle with its gawdawful money-grabbing landlord. 😢

We felt that a great crime against #cityoflondon was committed when #hartnelltayorcook unlawfully forfeited us to engineer a freehold sale in 2022 Sadly now we are a crime scene We can only look on as the decline is ignored and our offer to purchase rejected #shame
