ALT Sims Library summer hours apply from May 31 to August 1. The library will be open 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM Mondays through Wednesdays and 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursdays. The library will be closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

ALT In partnership with the Southeastern Sociology department, Sims Library presents The Librarians, a documentary directed by Kim A. Snyder, on April 14th at 5 pm at the Student Union Theater. The documentary features Amanda Jones, a Louisiana Librarian and alumna of Southeastern. The showing will be followed by a Q&A on banned books and censorship with Southeastern Faculty.

ALT Graphic Censorship. Join us on March 3rd at 2 pm in the Library iHub for a discussion with Southeastern Louisiana University librarian Alex Sharp about the Tennessee banning of the graphic novel Maus and the importance of stories in our lives.

ALT Happy Mardi Gras. The Library will be closed Saturday, February 14 to Tuesday, February 17.

ALT Black History Month Display, sponsored by the University Belonging Council, African American Heritage Museum, and Sims Library, will be displayed in Sims Library from February 1st to 11th. The displays are titled "Marching for Justice: Bogalusa to Baton Rouge, 1967" and "A Story Like No Other: Louisiana's African American Heritage Trail".
