So I've written to #PassportOffice asking for the return of my original passport (including offering to pay for courier return), asked them to cancel by British passport application and return my documents to me, tried more than 100 times to call #PassportOffice...any ideas?

But I hear you ask "Why don't you just use your existing passport from your original country to travel to the US? Why are you waiting for the British passport?" Unfortunately, #PassportOffice required me to surrender my original passport at the time of application. 5/x

You know where this is going. I paid for fast return by courier but, despite multiple phone calls over the last month, no British passport yet. Their portal shows "in progress". When you try to call the only enquiry number, it now cuts out after waiting on hold for <1min 4/x

in 2021, I finally became a British citizen after living here for around 15 years. (Why it took me this long is a separate thread!) I am entitled to a British passport and decided to apply in February 2022. The application guidance said "10 weeks". 3/x
