Burn buckthorn burn! Six Rivers joined Oakland Township Parks & Recreation on Thursday to ignite some large brush piles of invasive buckthorn at Bear Creek Nature Park. The shrubs in these piles were cut down at a combined stewardship workday in the fall. #naturenearyou
On Wednesday, Radar, the Official Hunting Mascot of Six Rivers, took Executive Director Chris Bunch, President Amy O'Leary, and Secretary Andrea LaFontaine on a pheasant hunt at Hunters Creek in Metamora so they could discuss land conservation, trails, and parks. A great day!
