Burn buckthorn burn! Six Rivers joined Oakland Township Parks & Recreation on Thursday to ignite some large brush piles of invasive buckthorn at Bear Creek Nature Park. The shrubs in these piles were cut down at a combined stewardship workday in the fall. #naturenearyou

On Wednesday, Radar, the Official Hunting Mascot of Six Rivers, took Executive Director Chris Bunch, President Amy O'Leary, and Secretary Andrea LaFontaine on a pheasant hunt at Hunters Creek in Metamora so they could discuss land conservation, trails, and parks. A great day!

Happy Holidays from the staff at Six Rivers! We had our holiday lunch yesterday at Palazzo di Bocce, where the senior "AARP eligible" members of the staff beat the "junior" members of the staff, 15-14! Here's a group photo of us, after having a good time on the bocce court!
