Tesla FSD is great but not everyone wants to pay for a full month Should they offer more granular options?

Due to recent events involving Stique breaking community rules in Ranked Duels, he has been disqualified from the esports season. Effective immediately, Stique is removed from the competition and barred from participating in future official GeoGuessr Esports events. As a result, Manuelson, the World League runner-up, will advance directly to the World Finals in Berlin. Additionally, Ralius, the Play-In. runner-up, has now secured a spot for the tournament. We are currently working on updating the World Championship page to reflect these changes.

The next country in Europe to approve FSD is Greece 🇬🇷 They failed to be 2nd but good development nonetheless The Secretary General of Transport added that after the Netherlands, which approved the use of Tesla’s assisted driving system, known as FSD (Supervised), Greece will be the second country in the European Union to grant similar approval Mr. Sakaretsios emphasized that: “Our goal is that in the next bill from the Ministry of Transport, we become the second country in the European Union that, by accepting the type approval from the Netherlands, grants the same capability on Greek roads.” He explained that: “All the data coming from the other side of the Atlantic shows us that this system, which does not leave the vehicle to operate entirely on its own but instead requires the driver’s alertness, ultimately leads to a very significant reduction in accidents. It also requires insurance companies to remain prepared so they can cover this important risk.”

BambuStudio has been violating PrusaSlicer AGPL license since their fork, with the same networking binary black box in question today. Why are they willing to burn the goodwill over it? There's something most have sensed but never seen it all in one place, the five-law framework China built between 2017 and 2023 ⤵️ So maybe their hand is forced as their "network" is too valuable already? Each law on its own, interesting, okay... Read them together, and add any Chinese company with big reach to the mix you get the complete picture. 1) National Intelligence Law (2017) All organizations and citizens must "support, assist, and cooperate" with intelligence work. The same law makes it illegal to disclose that cooperation happened. Cooperation is mandatory, and silence about it is mandatory too. 2) Cryptography Law (2020) Commercial encryption must be state-approved and state-reviewed. When authorities request it, companies must provide decryption keys or plaintext. The state on both sides of that equation is the same one. 3) Data Security Law (2021) Article 2 gives the state extraterritorial reach over data that touches Chinese national security or public interests. So EU/US data hosting does nothing to make it safe, because jurisdiction follows the company, not the server location. 4) Counter-Espionage Law revision (2023) The general definition of espionage was expanded to cover "documents, data, materials, or items related to national security and interests." Industrial data is one of the intended targets since the revision. 5) Network Product Security Vulnerability regulation (2021) Any company or researcher that discovers a software vulnerability must report it to MIIT within 48 hours. From there it flows to CNNVD (China National Vulnerability Database of Information Security), operated by the 13th Bureau of the Ministry of State Security. Microsoft's threat intelligence team documented Chinese state-hacker zero-day usage rising after this took effect. Shows the willingness to use the “tools” China built. Together they describe a system with no neutral exits. Cooperation is required, encryption is real but the spare keys live at the ministry, jurisdiction follows the company across borders, industrial data is in scope, and discovered vulnerabilities flow to an intelligence agency 😬 3D printing became strategic for China in 2020 and joined the “Made in China 2025” plan soon after. Why does 3D printing matter so much? 1/x

FYI: If you’re on X attacking me for buying a vehicle I like because it benefits Elon Musk, you may want to think that one through. Every time you post here to criticize me, you’re helping Elon’s other company, and likely training or feeding the ecosystem around xAI in the process. That’s the problem with purity tests: almost nobody passes them. If you want to trace the political contradictions behind nearly every product, platform, app, service, bank, car, phone, grocery store, streaming service, or AI tool you use, go ahead and ask Grok. Or ChatGPT. Or Claude. The truth is, modern life is full of compromises. I bought a vehicle I like. You’re posting on Elon’s platform to yell at me about it. Maybe we can all climb down from the hypocrisy Olympics for a minute.
I might get hate for this too but I bought a Cybertruck. With a young family, safety was important and so is not polluting the atmosphere with $5 a gallon gasoline.

@elonmusk vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2026/04/10/…

If you never offer any constructive criticism of @Tesla or @elonmusk, and treat everything they do as perfect, you’re not adding signal, you’re adding noise. Tesla improves through relentless iteration, not uncritical praise. Perpetual optimism from some of its loudest voices has repeatedly led to overpromises, missed expectations, and eroded trust. True fans of the company should prioritize honesty over hype, because blind defense prevents progress. I love what @Tesla is building. That’s exactly why I’m direct about its biggest weakness: Communication. This isn’t limited to earnings calls. It extends to how the company presents its products. Especially Full Self Driving Poor, inconsistent, or overly vague communication is Tesla’s Achilles’ heel. Defending or excusing repeated communication shortfalls doesn’t help. It’s a fixable problem. Clear, accurate, timely information would: • Better inform shareholders about timelines and risks. • Protect employees whose compensation is tied to RSUs and ESPPs by maintaining credibility and stock performance. • Accelerate adoption of FSD, which demonstrably improves safety in many scenarios saving lives as more drivers understand its current capabilities and limitations. Tesla has world class engineering and data advantages. Strengthening communication is one of the easiest high impact upgrades available. Do it for the mission, the shareholders, the team, and the broader impact on road safety. Constructive feedback from those who want @Tesla to win isn’t disloyalty it’s how the best companies get even better.

As expected the Netherlands will present their results on Tesla's FSD in the next meeting of the Technical Committee - Motor vehicles (TCMV) on 5 May. 🇪🇺 The vote will take place at the end of June. If at least 50% of EU countries vote in favour of FSD, it will be approved automatically in all 27 EU countries.

Tek.no testet å kjøre med Tesla Selvkjøring i over 5 timer i Nederland. På turen måtte føreren overstyre bilen tre ganger: 1. Bilen nølte ved filskifte for å rekke avkjøringen. 2.

FSD HW/SW Platforms Predictions/guesses: HW4 (AI4) vehicles will support Robotaxi (unsupervised FSD for Robotaxi). Cybercab will be moved to AI5 as soon as its available and will take priority (1st chip allocation). HW4 (AI4) vehicles will likely support customer-owned unsupervised. HW3 will NOT support any unsupervised version of FSD. A FSD supervised lite (version 14) will be the terminal release. As for HW3 vehicle upgrades: will be difficult. Its not just a board swap, its cameras too. I would think Tesla would be more inclined to offer incentives to purchase a new vehicle, but that is purely a business matter, not technical. And if they do, it will coincide with AI5 availability. In other words, HW3 -> AI5.

Swedens 🇸🇪 Minister of Infrastructure @andreas_carlson has the chance to shine. RDW in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 approved Tesla's supervised self driving systems for use in consumer cars. The RDW concluded that FSD Supervised makes a positive contribution to road safely. As the current Minister of Infrastructure, you have an unmatched opportunity to improve road safely in Sweden. By actively working for the implementation and recognition of exemption here. The Netherlands are on par with Swedish road safty. You now have the chance of contributing to the single biggest traffic safty improvements in modern history. And remeber, you miss 100% of the chances you dont take.
