"Tanmaxxing" is trending on social media. The reality? A tan is skin damage. UV exposure damages skin cells, speeds up premature aging, and increases your risk of skin cancer. There’s no such thing as a safe tan. #SkinCancerAwareness #Tanmaxxing #WearSPF

It's time to announce my May Charity marathon beginning TOMORROW! This month we will be raising money for the Skin Cancer Foundation! Learn more about the Skin Cancer Foundation here: skincancer.org/ More of my reasoning for selecting this charity: In May of 2025, my girlfriend was diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma. This past year has been incredibly difficult navigating that while having a job as someone who has a public personality every day, but I'm grateful to say she's been consistently getting better every week for months now. Early on in this process I had never had anyone in my life who had skin cancer before and I didn't know much about it. After some google searches I found the Skin Cancer Foundation, thought it was a fantastic organization, and reached out to them about joining tiltify so I could fundraise for them. The marathon I did last year somehow raised over $34,000 dollars. Since then I've continued to be involved in their organization, most recently being interviewed and having a section in their annual Skin Cancer Foundation journal they put together. It was an honor to talk about how incredible our community was during the fundraiser. The Skin Cancer Foundation focuses on prevention, education, and awareness, and my favorite thing they do is something called Destination Healthy Skin, a free skin cancer screening & education program that's a mobile bus which travels all over the United States. On Friday the 22nd, the final day of this marathon, I'll also be joined by the development coordinator for the Skin Cancer Foundation, Melanie, to answer any questions about Skin Cancer and prevention along with being able to share valuable information about what the Skin Cancer foundation does! On a personal note, I'm very excited because this Marathon will also take us all the way to run 9,999, finishing our nearly 8 month sprint to do our 10,000 speedrun live at TwitchCon EU in less than 2 weeks :) I personally will be donating 1 dollar for every run that I complete, along with an additional 5 dollars for every run under 20 minutes. See you there!
