Announcement? Our D&D table we Host (my wife is the DM) is Looking for 2 Players to join our Table. Our VTT Table has been bogged down by cancellations. Ideally we meet twice a month, on a Saturday or Sunday, for 3-5 hours, currently starting around Noon but we are flexible to see how it best fits. We use OwlBearRodeo website (free for users) and Discord for Voice Coms. We use AI for our VTT Tokens, and work on VTT Maps with Dungeon Alchemist. Soonest you may join might be second weekend of May, but we shall see. Veterans and New players welcome. Most of us are new players, me with some experience, and others this being their first D&D. My wife is an experienced DM that used to play 3.5E. Currently in D&D 5E. Party is near the Cusp of Level 5. New Characters would likely start at bottom of Level 4, but TBD. The World is a Homebrew our DM has had for a long time, as such there are things not allowed, such as playing Gnome, Teifling, and other Exotic Races. Dark Elves or Half Dark Elves likely ok, but case by case. Certainly no Drow, but feel free to make your case. We are also not Murder Hobos or an Evil Party. We are also more Medieval setting, so no Artificer or Gunslingers. Our old rule for Stuff was, if we Have the Books, you can play it, back where we were a Physical Table. We have the Core 5E books, along with many add ons. We also Subscribe to Griffin Saddlebag, and use some of those Subclasses, along with MANY of the Magic Items there. Subclasses from GSB to be approved by DM. We are all 30 year old adults, there may be romance for the PCs, but it will never be detailed, and we will fade to black. We may be crass, but we are not lewd. For example, two PCs are married to each other in game and so are their Players, they sometimes elude to Spousal Duties, but never any details. We are also not a dating Simulator, so if you are single, don't expect to find another single person at the table. We are also not going to be therapy sessions, as therapeutic as Math Rocks are, we won't be subjected to Group Therapy for you. We leave Current Events out of our table, and we won't have PCs with a Wheelchair, unless you WANT boulders to keep falling on you, but as funny as that would be, just a waste of time. We are looking to have fun on a regular basis in a long term campaign, with fellow friends and fans of the game. A Golden Egg from a Giant Goose. My party was cleaning up trash from a pond and there were two giant geese that got very aggressive at us being around. The party got defensive and ready for combat. My PC did a decent enough History check from stories he heard about Giant geese and started speaking Sylvaan thinking back to the story. Seeing it had no affect and still trying to calm the geese, my PC then got on the ground on his knees, prostrate and continuing to speak in sylvaan. The female giant goose, then walked over to my PC, and sat on him. The party seeing this, started honking back at the other goose as it flapped its wings and honked. The Giant Geese had a Giant Farmer owner who came, and when he came to witness the sight of adventurers, honking at him and the geese, with one goose sitting on one of them, he pulled the geese off and away from them. The goose sitting on my PC plopped out a golden egg, and the farmer let us keep it for not harming his geese.

To expand on this thought, when I say Games Should be Apolitical I don't say games should not use History or Politics in their game. There are many amazing games that had political topics in them but focused, games like Bio Shock, Red Alert, Metal Gear Solid, WW2 Games, heck even Final Fantasy was using Political topic. What makes those games different is that Politics were used as narrative to story, way to tell story and make it entertaining. Main problem is when games become a tool to spread message instead of using politics as entertainment. In the end Games are not real, stories in games is fiction and fiction should serves as way to escape reality.
