Lorcana cards are ON THE MOVE and opportunities are everywhere. WHAT IS HAPPENING!?
A PSA 10 D100 Mickey Mouse Promo recently sold on eBay for $800. The raw copy of this card was $37 when I made this graphic, 12 hours ago... it's now $44.
It was only $5 just a month ago....

Now, they've 3x-10x'd practically overnight and PSA 10 Mickey Mouse is already at $800 and the rest will catch up once PSA isn't so congested.

Gold Stars, which are some of Pokemon's rarest and most sought after cards, come from various sets in the EX era, which spanned from 2003 to 2007.
The Espeon (along with Umbreon) is particularly rare because it's not pulled from a mainline set, but rather a promotional POP Series 5 pack, which only contains 2 cards.
Here's what makes it special: both cards are non-holo, which means they're completely unweighable & Sealed packs now cost ~$2,000, so finding a raw copy in the wild is nearly impossible.

Here's what's wild and should be considered: this movement crossed multiple customer segments simultaneously.
It wasn't like Pokemon collectors all started looking for their next flip....
Players. Collectors. Disney fans. Theme park goers, cruise ship guests... the list goes on.... All caught on at the same time.
That's not hype. That's market validation.

I've collected Lorcana since the original D23 promos came out and haven't skipped a set since. I always told my people...
"My core will always be Pokemon, but I can't bring myself to rip those packs anymore, so I'll just rip Lorcana instead since I've always loved Disney."
My Thoughts?
I believe tremendously in Disney's IP strength, but with that said, a TCG cannot survive on IP alone.
@RavensburgerNA mgmt has done a good job as of the last handful of sets, which is good to see, but I'd still like to see them continue to prove that they can stand tall next to Pokemon, One Piece, Etc as a TCG juggernaut.
The move is real. The test just started. If you had conviction AT ALL over the last 2.5 years, congrats! There are still TONS of opportunity out there for those that don't need hype to tell them what to buy.

Two Pokemon Grails, One Origin Story - The Garura Parent/Child Tournament, May 1998.
🏆 Kangaskhan Trophy Card #115 (left)
A Holy Grail in Pokemon. This card was given out at the tournament to teams that won a certain number of battles and is one of very few cards ever printed with the original Pocket Monsters logo as the set symbol.
🔍94 total graded, only 12 PSA 10s.
🎨Picasso Touch (right)
The tournament consisted of parent/child duo teams. Players were given this promo card to tap each other in and out of battle. Win enough, you kept it. Reprinted once. PSA 10 population: ghost town.
🔍908 total graded, only 89 PSA 10s.
Kangaskhan is untouchable, but Picasso's Touch is still within reach despite it's equally awesome origin story and relatively low PSA pop.
