The Allman Brothers Band were in town for 2 dates at Bill Graham's Winterland Ballroom on October 8th and 9th, during Skydog's last trip to the west coast. As the story goes, after this photograph was taken, Duane and the photographer went to his mother's house for dinner. The rest of the band ate at the hotel, and everyone else got sick.
