I just finished watching the Fallout show on Amazon Prime. Damn, it's good. We've really gotten a treat in 2024 with Halo Season 2 and Fallout. Let's hope for a Baldurs Gate series!

Yesterday I tried out the Apple Vision Pro for the first time. The RGB pass through cameras were impressive - I could see the hairs on the back of my hand! Very little lens distortion, though size appeared to be off by a tad.

I wrote a lengthy blog about my personal experience with CES 2024 and the bodily toll of walking over 30 miles had on me. My boss had an AI re-synthesize and summarize it -- the result was the most bland de-personalized garbage writing you can imagine.

AI cannot have personal experience! It can't be excited! These are lies! It's all lies.
The AI glosses over my personalized experience and appropriates it as its own. It has no clue on what its talking about. It sucked the marrow out of human expression and regurgitated garbage.

Today I became the dragon born in Starfield! Its called something else, but yeah… same thing. Its still really freakin’ cool! The game is turning out to be quite amazing, so far its a 9.5/10 in my book.

Wheel of Time Season 2 is turning out to be really, really good. Its like, season 1 was just the opening act/appetizer and now we are feasting on the main course meal. So delicious!

Oh man. The Starfield NPC character models don't look good at all 🥲 BG3, CyberPunk 2077, Metahumans, all look much better. I get that it's not the core of the game, but it's hard to look past it when so much of the game is character interaction...

But to give credit where credit is due, the characters with names are pretty well done. The hair cards could be a bit better & should probably be groom assets instead, skin material needs SSS, texture is good, modeling is good, animations are good.

I mean, look at this! The characters eyes are supposed to track with the player camera location, but the idle animation causes the head to go up, so you get crazy chris rock 5th element vibes. How did this get past QA?
