Absolutely not. Important to give any MV patient a chance to be awake; this requires coordination with multidisciplinary staff and others to ensure vent synchrony and safety (e.g., awake patient instructed to use their phone {picture} but not touch the endotracheal tube).

Research has found that low brain iron impacts several brain systems, including the dopamine system. Dopamine levels vary throughout the day and follow a circadian rhythm; dopamine levels are lower at night than during the day. This may increase the severity of RLS symptoms. #RLS
