Peruvian politics cant be understood on an ideological axis. Ideology is merely a cover for various mafias seeking control of state funds and power. You canât predict what politicians will do on the basis of âwhat would a Right/Left winger doâ but âwhat will their mafia demand?â
Colombia still has to hold its run-off, & Peru results aren't yet official.
But there's a real possibility of three right-wing presidents with authoritarian tendencies holding office in Colombia, Ecuador, & Peru simultaneously.
