The Whale
I have a man in me. He is praying. I feel him like a small hot stone in my ribbed dark. #Consuming a man is not what I thought. He keeps becoming. He won't stop singing. To the salt. To himself. I echo his unfinished sentences.

Tetra Pak intaglio print on turmeric-dyed paper, A5
ALT Abstract intaglio print on hand-dyed paper. Black line drawing of curving stems and organic forms: eye-shaped pods with solid black centres, small wheels, dotted membranes, leaf-like shapes. All flowing in an S-curve across the plate. A column of small circles runs down the left margin. Faint cross marks anchor the corners. The paper is stained yellow and rose-pink from turmeric and lemon juice, in blotch marks. Made by scoring a Tetra Pak carton with an awl.
