A NEW DAWN The ballots have been cast. From the trends I am seeing, it is clear that the people of Cameroon have spoken with a voice that is clear, resounding, and undeniable. In this historic moment, echoing the promise of 1992, our nation stands at the threshold of a new dawn. The collective will of the Cameroonian people has illuminated the path forward. We now call upon all competent institutions of the Republic to honor their sacred duty. It is imperative that they immediately align with the people's mandate. To the incumbent President, we address this with respect for his years of service: you now hold the power to bestow one final, historic gift upon the nation. Ensure that the will of the people is respected. The ultimate measure of your legacy will not be written solely by the years you governed, but by the grace and wisdom with which you heed the people’s voice. We urge you to heed the unequivocal voice of the people, accept the election results with dignity, and this also means you must be ready to cede power peacefully. Such a statesmanlike act would cement your place in history as a true patriot who prioritized national unity and democratic principles above all else. My most fervent wish was for the opposition candidates to team up in answer to the call of the people. I am thankful that the people have succeeded. To all other candidates in this election: we extend a heartfelt appeal.
