We @tugraz disclosed a modular and inexpensive method of generating carbenoid reactivity in situ. Azoles & oxiranes catalyze benzoin condensation. O2 exclusion not needed. Utility is demonstrated by producing a thermoset from the glycidylether of vanillin. doi.org/10.1002/adsc.70218
