My son has been asked to wear a Vote Labor t-shirt for 2 weeks as part of a social experiment to see how people react. So far he has been spat on, punched and had a bottle thrown at him. I'm curious to see what's going to happen when he leaves the house.

I had the privilege of sitting next to @PaulineHansonOz on a flight on Saturday. It’s taken a couple of days for it to sink in that it really happened as it was so surreal. I can hand on heart say Pauline is the most authentic, warm, caring person. I have a pretty bad injury at present, and was travelling to visit one of my children in hospital, and she was very concerned about both matters, and even got my bag down from the overhead and walked it off the plane for me! We chatted during the flight at length about a myriad of issues. It was amazing! Pauline knows her stuff. But the thing I was most grateful for was that I had the opportunity to thank her for being one of the first politicians to stand up for women’s sex-based rights. She’s not done there. She genuinely cares about making Australia a wonderful place to live for everyone. And she has so much energy to get it done! Before we took off, I was able to show her on my phone that the Fire The Liar campaign had reached $3.5m. It’s now over $4m. Incredible but not surprising after seeing how many people wanted to give her their regards on our flight. I am so lucky I had that 1:1 experience with her. What an icon.
