Smeaton's Tower is the third & most notable Eddystone Lighthouse. I'm the iconic symbol of Plymouth. I retired to the Hoe in 1882. I am beautiful. It's true.
It's great news that Smeaton's Tower has re-opened.
Don't delay in paying a visit to climb the 93 steps to the lantern room, with incredible views of Plymouth Sound.

I have a daily view of Smeatons Tower, my love for lighthouses & windmills started as a child. On a clear day at the local, the Eddystone lighthouse can be spotted against the watery horizon. I’ve adored this mystical combo of lighthouses, witchcraft & magic. Thanks @CJessCooke
Spotted this King George V down on #Plymouth Hoe on a recent visit. Looking out over Plymouth Sound. Smeatons lighthouse has the best view though for #PostboxSaturday#postboxsaturday
John Smeaton’s most famous project is probably the Eddystone lighthouse, a rock lighthouse 17 miles off the coast of Plymouth. It was a revolutionary design inspired by an oak tree. It's now known as Smeaton's Tower on Plymouth Hoe. #Smeaton300
