Sneak peek into my talk for #bls8tokyo. You're looking at 25 juvenile European honey buzzards migrating for the first time. Delta T (colors) is a measure of uplift and the arrows show the wind direction and strength. Some are better than others at resource tracking for sure!

🫎@HebblewhiteLab found that elk changed their migratory behaviour over time. Exposure to predation risk by wolves and bears drove long-term changes in migratory patterns, not exposure to high-quality forage during migration.
