People keep acting like I'm celebrating CPS showing up just because I think it's a funny situation. I'm not celebrating it, I am laughing at it. If Ethan's child actually got Giardia from the dog, I don't think that means his kids should be taken away. Parents make mistakes, and I don't believe Ethan is abusing his children. What I do find funny is the irony. Ethan confidently told his audience that his child got giardia from the dog. Later, he said that wasn't true. If his own statements helped create concern, then there's something objectively absurd about his words potentially contributing to a CPS visit. The humor isn't "haha take his kids away!!!." The humor is the ridiculousness of someone saying something reckless, only for those words to come back around and cause problems for them. And unless there's actual proof that a snarker made the report, I'm treating this as a report from an unknown person that was investigated and resolved, not evidence of some coordinated campaign.
