The voices in children’s animated shows are often recast. I wonder if it’s bc producers think kids won’t notice.
Kids DO notice. My son is obsessed with Paw Patrol and has been watching all the seasons. He’s been imitating the new Marshall voice for days & calling it weird 🤣

Actors who create SOUNDBITES might be hired for a few projects, but actors who create SCENES will be hired over and over . I’ve been told by a director that they can tell within 20 minutes of working with someone what kind of an actor they are and if they’d hire them again... 5/?

💥Hit ‘em hard with the first line.
🚫Leave minimal dead space between lines.
🎭Scene context. Know it. Play it.
🗣️Try to use one solid take (this helps casting hear what I’d be like to record in a session)

🎙️VO Tip: Let the script do the work. Don’t add unnecessary pauses, laborious breaths, stutters, etc. The words are there. It’s your job as a voice actor to deliver them.
