I have written a short story on Corrie and the Jack the Ripper
The lanterns shine bright on the cobbled street; Joan Walker is seen walking down the road into the tavern. It's dark, and the fog hides a figure in the ginnel with a blade standing over a dead woman.
Thomas Osbourne is walking down the street when he spots something in the corner of the ginnel. he walks over to it and is shocked to see a dead woman on her side with her face slashed. He runs into the pub and shouts at the barman to get the police officer. Mr Swain, the detective, gets the telegram from the pub and rushes over and gets statements from the residents of the street.
Over the coming weeks, news from down south reveals the terrible nature of the Jack the Ripper attacks.
Mr Swain walks into the rover and approaches Thomas Osbourne, arresting him. The other residents are shocked at the news, and he pleads his innocence to the officer.
In the ginnel, the actual murderer is seen grinning as Mr Osbourne is put into the back of a police cart.
