It’s not just the “Big 6”, non aspirational mid / low table teams can form a barrier from any lower tier aspiring clubs.
Without pressure & intervention we are heading towards a closed shop with no relegations.

The Premier League PSR rules are about as fit for purpose as a chocolate teapot. Chelsea FC Holdings made a profit of £128m in 23/24 after selling the women’s team to itself. The parent company BlueCo 22 (which owns the men’s team, the women’s team and…Strasbourg) made a loss of £430m in the same period as cannot include intra group transactions in the group accounts. Richard Masters keeps a straight face and says Chelsea have not broken any rules…because the rules on these types of deals are full of loopholes.
If I was Everton or Forest would be livid.

In August 2021 Andrew Rhodes assured the #footballindex community that Neil Macarthur left @GamRegGB voluntarily to temp at a Local Authority for a few months. Sounds like a great career move. The conclusion I drew from this was that Rhodes was lying!

On 11/11/21 @GamRegGB invited @fi_action to meet with Andrew Rhodes & Helen Venn. The meeting was 2 hours and the impression we got was that was the end of #footballindex as far as @GamRegGB were concerned. How wrong they were!

I relied on this regulation & had £250k in staked bets
@Royston_Smith @CPhilpOfficial @JohnGlenUK @LiamHalligan @LucyMPowell - I cannot make this any clearer that the Gambling Commission licenced a trading product outside of their remit and in conjunction with the FCA did nothing to protect consumers until the ponzi cash ran out.

The truth is enough to get us where we want to get to. We just need every single person to keep pushing through every obstacle for as long as it takes. Some MPs will need more work than others, but be patient and persistent. Don't let them gloss over this.

This is from the 'What we do' section of the Gambling Commission website. In your opinion, did the GC succeed in 1) safeguarding the 10,000 FI players and 2) ensuring that their gambling was safe?
