Loool. Because we read paragraphs from HOA everyone thinks we have time to read theirs. 😭
This clarifies a lot of things.
1. We're not buying ANY costly CM. Look at the names mentioned... young, rotation options for Rice who are considerably cheaper than the Andersons, Whartons, and Tonalis. Alex Scott's evaluation is also too high for a rotation option, so if I were a betting man, I'd say we sign either Bouaddi or Koné. I'm curious about the other two midfielders, though.
2. It's looking like it'll be Rogers or Barcola, not Rogers and Barcola. This means Martinelli going will depend on Rogers. If a Rogers deal can be achieved, I doubt Martinelli leaves as PSG seem to want a lot before they sell Barcola. If we sign Rogers and sell Martinelli, we MUST sign another runner profile LW to replace Martinelli's speed, vertical stretching, and repeated runs. Whether that is Bahoya, Diomandé, or Barcola, we'll see... but you cannot sell Martinelli's profile on the left and not replace it.
3. As things stand, getting a striker is unlikely (and I agree with them). Gyökeres and Havertz are in fine form (don't forget Meri9, too) and the likes of Kroupi and Endrick are not coming to play as a 2nd or 3rd striker. Rogers could be seen as the swiss army knife to play CF, SS, AM, or LW during rotations in-game.
4. Arteta is preparing to start next season with Saka, Rice, and maybe even Saliba not in the first team. These three players almost broke their body down for the title, so they deserve their rest. Arteta wants DM/CM that is good enough to start for us (especially OOP) but also willing to be a bench option when Rice is fully fit. I wouldn't be surprised if we signed another defender in addition to all this.
