On this Earth Day, our Sol Systems team partnered with @loveRockCreek to host a cleanup at @RockCreekNPS--one of the largest urban parks in the US. We recently broke ground on a 2.5 MW solar project at the Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District (UCSD) in Illinois. Developed by Sol Systems and @OnyxRenewables , the project will generate over 4M kWh in its first year, helping reduce energy costs. Sol Systems has reached financial close and started construction on the transformative Tilden Solar Project, a $345M, 182 MW solar farm sited atop a historic Illinois mine. We’re repurposing a 1,050-acre historic mine site into a renewable energy asset, bringing sustainable benefits to the community and environment and powering the equivalent of 33,800 Illinois homes annually.
