Household electrification holds the key to lower power prices for Australians. We’re world leaders in rooftop solar & there's an opportunity to generate & store even more electricity at a household level, reducing the need for expensive transmission costs & providing real energy security. Our challenge is to ensure renters & low income households can also benefit from the $1000s of savings electrification offers households. abc.net.au/news/2026-06-02/c…

The Big American, majority US shareholder-owned, BHP, is treating Australians with all the contempt it can. Taking the profits, taking the subsidies and taking the piss. Of course our government could raise taxes and cut subsidies, — but they fear BHP going on a capital strike.

Renewables drive retail electricity prices down. In Australia, the evidence is now undeniable. Electricity prices ↓ up to 10.7% for households. Small business power bills ↓ up to 20.9%. Not because of one windy day. These reductions are part of the Australian Energy Regulator's 2026-27 pricing determination, driven by lower wholesale electricity costs as wind, solar and battery storage expand across the grid. For years we were told renewables and batteries would make electricity more expensive. Instead, record renewable generation and storage are helping push prices lower. Fuel-free energy is doing exactly what economics said it would. Cost always wins. #Bettrification = abundance. aer.gov.au/news/articles/new…

Some of Australia's largest mining companies receive hundreds of millions in diesel fuel tax credits - BHP alone received $622 million last financial year. At a time when the budget is under pressure and Australians are feeling huge cost of living pressures, these subsidies need to end. We should be capping fuel tax credits to look after farmers and small miners but make the biggest miners pay the full price for diesel like everyone else. theguardian.com/world/2026/m…

I don't think it's fair for the government to change the tax rules for Australians and Australian small businesses but rule out changing the tax settings for major multinational companies from data centres to the gas industry. Australians deserve a fair return. Go to ourgas.com.au and join the call for a 25% tax on gas exports.
