Billions of people are currently surviving in temperatures between 45 and 50C. This is "only" at a 1.5C global increase. At 2C, these regions will become unbearable for long periods of the year. The lack of a coherent plan for this is shocking. #Mitigation is urgent.

The term minarchism is usually used by right-wing free marketeers.
By adding the qualifier "social", the left could steal it from the right, just as they stole the word libertarian from the left.

On one hand, I still consider anarchism to be the greatest wellspring of good political ideas that humanity has been able to come up with, and I also think a social anarchist movement is essential to push things forward ...

In fact, looking back, I'm not sure if I ever REALLY believed anarchism was sufficient in itself.
So maybe this is just me being brutally honest with myself about what I've always truly believed but couldn't acknowledge.

I think social anarchism in the 21st century should instead become the radical wing of a wider "solidarian" movement, whose moderate majority serves as the mainstream route to social transformation
We have no hope of becoming what we were in the early 20th century, but that's ok

I think we should ditch the term upper-middle class and replace it with lower-upper class.
Because their role in society and the economy is far more of a commanding one than the category of the "middle" would suggest.
That top 20% (outside the richest 1%) are the surplus elite.
