Nobody reading allat lil nig 😂
Sitting in one of Dublin’s most well known jewellery stores today picking up a few new pieces, I asked the guy I normally deal with:
“Who’s the youngest person you’ve sold a watch to?”
He laughed and said, “You, by far.”
Made me think for a second.
A watch is a weird thing. Nobody is buying a luxury watch because they need to know the time. Your phone does that. What you’re really buying is a reminder of the time you’ve already put in.
It’s like seeing the scoreboard after the game. Everyone notices the result, but nobody sees the early mornings, the stress, the risks, the losses, or the years it took to get there.
There are people 10 years older still saying they’ll start someday, and there are people in their twenties willing to be uncomfortable long enough to actually make something happen.
The watch isn’t the achievement. It’s just proof that the time was spent on the right things.
