Solstice RTC is a residential treatment center, with a fully integrated academic program, designed for the treatment and education of troubled teen girls.

Anatomy- We ended our chapter on the circulatory system by dissecting a pig heart!
Art- The ceiling tiles in the art room are coming along nicely. It will be fun when they are all done. Stay tuned!

Bio Update: We are learning about genetics! Students chose roosters and hens that we are going to be breeding together and then hatching the eggs. Students will need to use what they have learned to determine how the traits of the parents combined to get the traits of the chicks.

Ski & snowboarding season has officially kicked off. We all are doing the snow dance, hoping for better snow! Off campus activities last week also included hiking, ice skating and sledding. Students are having a great time enjoying all of these winter outings. #winteractivities

In Chemistry we look at the chemical make up of a chocolate chip cookie and what each ingredient does in the recipe. The students then make adjustments to those ingredients in order to make their perfect chocolate chip cookie. #chemistrycookies
Staff and students created Monster Dolls for the kids at Primary Children's Hospital. The dolls were made from felt, fabric, and thread! Students had fun putting their own creative touches to the dolls, and were excited for them to go to kids in need. #artsandcrafts#getcreative
Ski season has officially started at Solstice! Some of the girls have already made their first trip out to the snow last week. With any luck, and some great snow we will continue to get students out to ski & snowboard from now until the end of March!! #skiseason#freshsnow
Solstice West is thrilled to announce that our staff have been approved to receive COVID-19 vaccine. Many staff are opting to, or already have received the vaccine this week!
