SOME WORDS UPDATES
- genre week is full
- so is the entire month of july
- should I do a horror call for october?
- sure, why not
- send horror stuff for october
doing another theme thing // it's time for GENRE WEEK in July
ALT CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Accepted something that the writer said was too genre for most literary journals & too literary for most genre journals. That got me thinking there are probably more of y’all out there with work in that in-between spot, so let’s do a week of genre-adjacent stuff in July.
Send me a story or a poem to somewordslit@gmail.com. Include a bio & put “Genre Week” in the subject line.
No deadline. When the week is full, I’ll make a post, and if I like more than four pieces that get submitted, I’ll just publish them outside of the genre week.
NEW SOME WORDS
today's writer needs no introduction because they've been around the boards a time or two...& now they're around a third time with some fiction @travis_shosasomewords.boards.net/post/18…
Down to one remaining spot for this. I’ve gotten some great fantasy work for this, & now that I have one piece left I want to be very specific: I want to publish either a hard sci-fi story or a literary romantasy piece. No word limits. Send work.

really fell behind on the whole “writing about books on the forum” thing but would like to do that more
if you’re a past contributor (or even if you aren’t) then i’d love to write about your books
hit me up at somewordslit@gmail.com
through about 60 – 70% of the 900 submissions! hoping to finish by monday, but seems and feels unlikely. kinda exhausting, truly exciting and rewarding tho too!
early acceptances start publishing... TODAY! (will post about today's piece a little later)
thanks everyone!
if all of you neocities sites were hosted on a message board, you wouldn't be down right now
(you would have been down a few weeks ago for like six hours though)
