The Somnia Agentathon enters its final hours. Submissions close tonight at 11:59 PM UTC. After that, the team will begin reviewing projects and selecting the builders who will advance to Demo Day, where they’ll have the opportunity to pitch their agentic applications live. We’ll share more details on Demo Day soon. And don’t forget: alongside the prize pool, there’s also a hiring opportunity on the line. Good luck to everyone submitting.

Meet the Somnia Agents #2: LLM Inference. LLM Inference is one of the three base Somnia Agents. It allows smart contracts to run a deterministic LLM and receive a consensus-validated answer directly in their callback. The same prompt produces the same output across every validator, turning AI reasoning into an onchain primitive rather than an offchain dependency. Let’s explore how it works and when to use it.

Use LLM Inference when you need reasoning over information you already have. Examples include: - Classification and content moderation - Summarising onchain text - AI-arbitrated escrow and dispute resolution - Prediction market resolution - Structured extraction from provided content Outputs can also be constrained using allowedValues, allowing responses to be limited to a predefined set such as RELEASE, REFUND, or SPLIT. This makes consensus straightforward and onchain integration significantly easier. 2/3

Want to understand why the Agentic L1 is needed? Watch this. We explore the limitations of traditional smart contracts, where existing solutions fall short, and how Somnia Agents enable smart contracts to access external data and computation through validator consensus. It’s our deepest dive yet into why the next generation of applications requires an Agentic L1.

Builders are putting Somnia Agents to work 🛠️ We’re already seeing teams build security agents, autonomous DeFi systems, prediction markets, GameFi applications, reputation systems, escrow agents, and entirely new agentic protocols. A reminder that the Agentathon ends on June 10. If you’re building, make sure your project is submitted before the deadline. encodeclub.com/programmes/ag…

Meet the Somnia Agents #1: LLM Parse Website. LLM Parse Website is one of the three base Somnia Agents. It allows smart contracts to fetch information from live websites and convert it into structured onchain data through validator consensus. This makes it possible to build applications that react to information on the web without relying on centralized backends or traditional oracle infrastructure. Let’s explore how it works and when to use it.

To get started, you’ll need three things: - The agent ID - The platform contract - The execution cost LLM Parse Website uses the same agent ID on both testnet and mainnet. Agent ID: 12875401142070969085 Cost: 0.10 STT/SOMI per validator 5/6

Did you miss the Somnia Agentathon technical workshop last week? George from our R&D team walked builders through how Somnia Agents bring external data, AI inference, and validator executed compute directly into smart contracts. We also covered agent receipts, Solidity integrations, and the three core agent primitives available on Somnia today. Watch the full recording: youtube.com/watch?v=z02Umju6…
