Congrats to junior Kristina Segura Chavez for being 1 of 100 students selected nationwide for LEDA, an all-expenses-paid, elite college prep program at Yale and Princeton University this summer. She is the 10th student from South High selected for this national honor since 2012.

Juniors, if you haven’t signed up for the June Test and you get free/reduced lunches, you can still test for free (the waiver will also work on the late fee). Email me for a code. 😊
Congratulations to juniors Isaiaz Whitaker & Kalon Kirk for winning $25,000 National @HoratioAlgerUS Scholarships and an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC. We’re also immensely proud of Gabby Sammon and Onyx Galarneau for winning $10,000 State Horatio Alger Scholarships!
Some statistics on this amazing honor: Only 2 National Scholars are selected each year from Kansas. Isaiaz and Kalon bring South High’s total to 11 national scholars during the last 10 years. For state scholars, only 10 students are selected statewide. Go Titans!
