The incredibly talented @DRFLivingston spent time with Grand Facile on Monday after the Derby. I think Barbara captured not just the kind eye, but the quiet nobility of our Louisiana Champion, don’t you? Grand Facile is the horse crush of my life & in foal to Goldencents.

After the tragedy to our breeding program in Kentucky last week, it was so healing to watch Pocketful of Money overcome a really difficult trip in his allowance win @LouisianaDowns today. Pocketful of Money is a son of Goldencents and our stakes-winning mare, Private Promise. When you watch the replay you will see that “ Money” gets hammered leaving the gate, is knocked two lanes over, stays boxed in behind 3 horses and inside two others for most of the race, despite efforts to get through. When he finally finds a hole he explodes for the win and is even difficult to stop on his gallop out. It was Money’s first time on the turf!

Highlander is such a resource in Texas. The men and women at Highlander run as fine a race training, rehab and layup facility as can be found in America. In fact Money was injured in his early race training and @JeffHooperCapH and his crew immediately had him in their rehab program and just look at how Money recovered from that injury.

This is our Kingsbarns filly out of our mare, Cornice Traverse by Malibu Moon. She is 2 months old today and quite the looker. Grow big and strong young lady!!

I may never make another post of one of our babies. One day after posting this picture of our beautiful Kingsbarns filly, she became sick with interstitial pneumonia and rushed to Rood & Riddle hospital in Lexington. Despite heroic efforts the last couple of days to save her life, the doctors told us a few minutes ago she would probably expire today.
Cindy and I are devastated and there simply are no words.
Our only hope is for a miracle today so we are asking all of you that believe in prayer to send prayers for that miracle.
Our hearts are broken. 💔

We are heartbroken to report that our gorgeous foal out of Cornice Traverse just passed away an hour ago at Rood & Riddle veterinary hospital in Lexington. They did everything possible to save her life over the past couple of days.
Cindy and I have no words.
RIP little one. You were loved dearly.
Please hug your animals.💔

Private Promise and her 3 week old filly by Coal Front. Her baby was born with a windswept back right lower leg from hock down. Over past 2 weeks her leg has strengthened and begun turning to a normal orientation without surgical intervention. Docs say she will be fine soon!!

First picture is Angelof Gettysburg’s almost 3 week old colt by Aurelius Maximus. Had a bumpy start in life and was hospitalized. Now recovered and a handful. Bottom right is Private Promise’s 2 day old filly by Coal Front. Sweetest little girl! 🍀🏇

WELCOME young lady! Our homebred stakes winning mare, Private Promise, foaled a robust filly early this morning by Coal Front. Mom and baby are doing well and her baby looks a mini copy of Mom. Wishing this little one grows up healthy, strong and fast like Mom.🍀🏇🍀

Out of the hospital and doing so much better today. Tomorrow he is one week old and feeling more like a young colt should.

As requested, here is our Easter surprise. Angelof Gettysburg and her day old foal (colt) by Aurelius Maximus.
Angel is very protective and a good Mom. Can’t wait to see him when he is a week old. He should be filled out and romping and stomping.

Wow! Way to go B.J.!! From dead last and going wide the whole way—out past the middle of the course, In B.J.’s Honor ran ‘em all down in the stretch and won going away with a huge gallop out. So proud of our mare, named for my Mom, the last of our babies she got to be around👏🏇

I was nervously optimistic that if Loveberry could keep B.J. on the course that she would do the rest! So happy for her Mom, Wave Goodbye, a full sister of Private Promise. B.J. Is her first foal, now with two allowance wins at Fairgrounds, once on dirt and now one on turf.
