It's 2023. I have a 5(!)GB file that has the sum of all human knowledge that I can TALK to....running locally...on my Steamdeck. No API. No Middlemen. No internet needed. All under 5 gigs. Open sourced and Quantized LLMs are the future. #AI is going to be in everything soon.

Meta AI has done it again! Less than 24 hours ago they released an AI model that generates sounds/FX on demand locally! I've been testing it and here are some of my favorites. I did zero post-processing so you can gauge quality! ft. AI images I generated via/ StableDiffusion.

You can get started today by either cloning the repo OR better yet @cocktailpeanut has put together a one-click installer for the software. I would go with the installer since it's very user friendly and can get you up and running in mere minutes! x.com/cocktailpeanut/status/…

If you want to try this out on your own computer, here's how to run the one-click installer. Find audiocraft.pinokio in Pinokio. Note that it's alpha, I'm sure there will be more robust options by the end of the week, but for now this is more than enough to play around with!

AI moves fast and their is something amazing about being able to do this all yourself with your own graphics card rather than locked away behind a walled garden. It's a breath of fresh air seeing Meta champion open models since this technology should be available to everyone.
