What a fantastic day we’ve had at the International Bomber Command Centre. Very thought provoking and has allowed us to expand our WW2 knowledge through the real life stories of the brave members of the Bomber Command squadrons and the vital role they played. @LeasStAndrews
In Geography we have been using Digimaps to find out how much Leasingham has grown since 1945. We enjoyed trying to find familiar landmarks in the area and then looked further afield to prominent locations from our WW2 topic. @LeasStAndrews
In science we have been investigating the size of shadows. We used our maths skills to measure accurately and draw graphs to show the results @LeasStAndrews
We had a very informative internet safety talk today. Jan, from the Lincolnshire Stay Safe Partnership talked to us about taking more responsibility for keeping ourselves safe online like setting screen time limits and taking regular breaks. @LeasStAndrews internetmatters.org
In science we have been investigating shadows and making our own funny images. From year 4 we remembered that light only travels in straight lines. @LeasStAndrews
Today we had great fun learning a new sport ‘Mr Baker’s Dodgeball’. It was great to see the School Games Values of passion, honesty, teamwork and determination.
Year 6 are all ready for Christmas after the nativity, party, lunch, quizzes, adverts, calendars, cards and crafting. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🥳
In Design technology, we have done some research into existing products before we can start to make our own flavoured bread. Jalapeño and vintage cheddar was more popular than we expected however, an olive bloom was least preferred. @LeasStAndrews
Year 6, have really enjoyed the virtual author visit from @XanderArmstrong. We can’t wait for our signed books of ‘Everfall: The Golden Linnet’ to arrive. @LeasStAndrews
