Netherlands and the ocean, both blooming.
Zoom in to see the tulips' colours on the land, and the phytoplankton swirl of blue & green in the sea.
The tulips adorn vases around the world, and the phytoplankton (algae & bacteria) convert sunlight and CO2 into organic matter which sustains nearly all marine life.
Life is beautiful.

I'm thrilled to share this unique collaboration with Artemis Il astronaut @astro_reid.
Artemis II was a unique opportunity to get high-quality imagery of the moon, and Reid was gracious enough to capture some special image sets for me during the lunar flyby.
Great to see Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman on the F1 podium presenting the trophy to the winner of the sprint race! The Artemis astronauts have a very busy schedule this week!
'@Astro_Christina can be heard clicking away with the Nikon, capturing the breathtaking Earthset photographs already shared. @AstroVicGlover and @Astro_Jeremy are viewing through another window. Such a privelege for the crew to make this incredible...more
Artemis II was a fantastic mission to follow and I spend many hours watching the livestream. Four astronauts are on the porch waiting to be transported to the ship. It's 3.45 AM here now, so time too sign off. Even my teenage daughter stayed up to watch.
Wow, look at that beauty growing bigger and bigger! π Over 35.000 km to go. Splash down will be around 2 at night here in Europe, but I will certainly watch it live!
Impressive moment: an audio message of the late Apollo 8 and 13 astronaut Jim Lovell: "good luck, Godspeed from all of us here on the good Earth." His family also gave the crew a flown Apollo 8 patch that is now on board.
"Welcome to my old neighborhood." Our @NASAArtemis II astronauts woke up on the sixth day of their mission to a special message recorded in 2025 by astronaut Jim Lovell, the pilot of Apollo 8.
I just got back from watching Project Hail Mary with my family. Now I just heard CapCom Jenni Gibbons saying: 'Amaze, amaze, amaze!' in response to the description of the Moon by Reid Wiseman. #ProjectHailMary
