Proud to announce that from today, we officially become University of Staffordshire - @UniofStaffs. This is more than a name change – it marks a new chapter focused on future ambitions, innovation and being a place of possibility for all.
Congratulations to all students in the room at this evening’s @SOT6FC Aspire Awards. I was honoured to attend along with @UniofStaffs’ @MartinTideswell, who compered. An excellent motivational speech from @NathanHeaney and performances from talented students. Well done all 👏🎉🏆
🏆 Honoured to MC tonight’s @SOT6FC Aspire Awards evening at the magnificent King’s Hall. I am proud to be a Governor at my alma mater and represent @UniofStaffs alongside @Jennyamphlett and @NathanHeaney at this important celebration for one of our partner colleges.
If you’ve been to the @UniofStaffs Business Awards ceremony you’ll know how incredible the food is every single year. Meet Phil Olivant, the man who makes the menu happen. Phil is University of Staffordshire’s Executive Head Chef and he’s a genius. We’re lucky to have him ⭐️🙌🏼
The democratic design of theatre-in-the-round allied to the sense of inclusiveness, belonging and North Staffordshire’s notable friendliness is, according to @TheresaHeskins a key factor in why the @NewVicTheatre has ‘found its home here and suits this audience so much.’
The New Vic isn’t just a venue - it’s where inclusive, accessible theatrical excellence happens.
In continuing to honour Peter Cheeseman’s legacy, the 40-year-old creative hothouse stands as a testament to the power of theatre to transform and enhance local communities and put the Potteries on the world theatre map.
Yesterday marked the end of an incredible chapter.
After years of dedicated leadership, it was Danny’s final day as CEO of YMCA North Staffordshire. His impact, passion, and commitment have helped shape the organisation into what it is today — a place of support, opportunity, and hope for so many.
Before stepping down, Danny wanted to speak directly to you — to share his thanks, reflections, and message for the future.
🎥 Take a moment to hear from him and join us in recognising everything he has given.
