I still can’t believe that Apple sent me the new Vision Pro with the M5 early to test and review. I’ve been testing it non-stop for almost a week now — and this is my full review, in my best bad German accent. Spoiler: It‘s a much bigger upgrade than you might think.

No way this isn’t the future of browsing. Safari in visionOS 27 lets you view up to five tabs side by side in a carousel of webpages, each as large as a poster, making it much easier to compare products, services, or travel accommodations. It’s also a major productivity boost for anyone who needs to monitor multiple sources of information at once or frequently jump between different websites. Instead of managing tabs, you can simply see everything at a glance. Super cool.

There is no excuse not to use Apple Shortcuts on Mac anymore. For example, I just created a handy shortcut with Siri AI that turns text in images into copyable text and can now trigger it with a simple tap from my choclift bar whenever I need it. We're entering sci-fi territory.

You might want to take more panoramas with your iPhone. No matter whether you own a visionOS device today or not, there's a good chance that one day you'll want to turn those panoramas into immersive 3D environments you can actually work in. To be honest, not every panorama in my library was as impressive as this one. To get the most out of the feature, you'll want a really wide, high-resolution panorama with a compelling scene. But when you have the right shot, it genuinely looks and feels like you're there.

Apple still sets the bar for software design. The way movies on Vision Pro reflect in the icy river of the new Iceland environment during the day, and how the snow softly glows at night, genuinely gives me goosebumps.

Spatial Wallpapers are here! I just got my first hands-on experience with the new Spatial Panoramas and Custom Environments features, and it's incredible how immersive these memories feel when they surround you with real depth. With just a few taps, you can save them to a new folder in the Environments view and use them as your own custom spatial wallpapers.

A new Control Center Design in visionOS 27 takes you to a whole new, beautiful environment. Thórsmörk might be my favorite one yet. During the day, the river flows through the landscape. At night, it's frozen. The level of detail is incredible. It's amazing how much you can see and hear in this environment. Recorded with the new high quality unfoveated screen recording that's now possible on device.

visionOS 27 introduces a new widget that can instantly connect to Mac Virtual Display, without you needing it to have the Mac nearby. You litterally just need to have your keyboard and mouse ready. This is the setup of the future.

Even though we didn't see much in the keynote, there's still a lot to explore in visionOS 27. My favorite additions are spatialized panoramas as custom environments, high-quality unfoveated screen recording, the Thórsmörk environment, and the new Spatial Preview framework, which lets you pull 3D models from your Mac into Vision Pro.

You can now pin a dock of your recently opened Mac apps right on your desk and switch between them with a single tap when using Mac Virtual Display on Vision Pro. It updates automatically so you always have a direct shortcut to the apps you’re currently working with. You can even pin your favourites to the front of the line to create your perfect setup. It‘s called App Time Travel, and it's one of the headline features in the big new choclift for Vision Pro update, available today.

I’ve never really used Apple Shortcuts on Mac because triggering them never felt natural enough in my workflow. So I built a free app that lets you launch Apple Shortcuts, apps and websites on your Mac with a quick tap on the device that’s probably sitting next to you anyway. It’s called choclift, and it’s probably the sweetest app you’ll try today.

I’m so in love with this Apple Vision Pro thermostat app. This is exactly what visionOS was built for.

I got to be one of the first to experience Real Madrid fighting for the Champions League in a way nobody ever has before. The new Apple Immersive documentary behind the legacy of Real Madrid is coming out on Friday, and trust me, it’s one you can genuinely be excited for, even if you’re not into the sport. In one moment, you’re getting closer to the players than any VIP ticket could ever get you, experiencing the action as if you could be in ten places at the same time, and in the next, you’re sitting together with the fans, feeling their reactions and emotions like you’ve always been sitting there with them. It’s this kind of “god-view” that makes Apple Immersive so special. It’s not just visually immersive, it’s the first format that really manages to capture the full picture and show more than just a single perspective.

Immersa just solved one of Apple Vision Pro’s biggest problems. Right now, there are filmmakers and studios creating incredible immersive videos that most people never get to see, simply because distribution is still too complicated. The app empowers creators to share their work simply through a link or publish it directly inside the app. If you’ve never experienced immersive video before, it genuinely feels like having an entire cinema to yourself. I can’t wait to see how much new immersive content this will unlock for all of us to get immersed in. Watch your first videos today in their free app!
