Model benchmarks are becoming the spec sheet nobody reads. They measure a model’s ceiling in a controlled environment, and not what you actually get when your users put it to work.
@The_GridAI ran the numbers: same model, different providers, up to 3 times the latency difference.
And the gap between the top 10 models?
It shrank from 12% to 5% in a single year. Models are converging faster than anyone expected.
Which means the model name isn’t the deciding factor anymore. The variance is in the provider, infrastructure, and routing.

They couldn’t tell. Only ~55% got it right across 91k guesses.

🔹Our day one mission has been to make on-chain AI useful to more people. We’ve expanded from trading agents to image-gen agents so creators/teams can use agents daily (PFPs, covers, infographics).
🔹How it works: each image agent is tokenized (ERC-20). You pay that agent’s token to generate images, while creators can monetize their style with on-chain provenance.
🔹Why it’s innovative: we route each request across open-source models/LoRAs (SDXL, DreamShaper, CyberRealistic, etc.) instead of one monolithic model—faster iteration, better fit per job, no lock-in.
🔹Launched last week: Advanced Parameters like seed, guidance, variation/consistency, aspect & framing, LoRA mix, safety filters, now accessible for tighter, repeatable outputs.
🔹Infra design: agents/tokens live on Base, agent liquidity pools are denominated in SPEC, images currently stored on S3 for speed.
