Geocache got publish at 6am - I thought great I have a later start Iβll dash and get it. 25 minutes of searching in the cold and no luck. Look and this person has 0 finds 1 hide. So I give up. Make DNF. Then get this response. I am not happy π
Feeling pretty chuffed with myself. This is going to be my best month caching ever. Facilitated by being on a holiday centred relatively around caching but still!
Well if anyone wants some FTFs I have 3 caches published today in Leicester (one west, two east) and waiting to see who is FTF. Last one was in 50 minutes, now at 3 hours and counting π¦
Remember, no #UKCacheHour this week, but you can always tweet the hashtag to draw attention to our weekly* #geocaching hosted chat thingy. It's hard to describe exactly what it is, but we think the below gives a general idea.
As starting to feel more functional again I finally went on an easy trip today. 2 new traditional caches hidden
2 puzzle caches maintained.
Got to show my friend who is newer to caching about hiding and the responsibilities of a CO π₯°
#UKCacheHour Q2 via @SplashCaches:
How do you break out of a DNF rut when even simple caches seem to start eluding you?
Is there a trick to 'getting your eye in' or are DNFs an inevitable aspect of a game where stuff gets placed publicly?
Pls inc A2 & the hashtag in your response
Yesterday went to my first cache event post pandemic, there was a brilliant turnout, a brilliant route and now a lot of brilliant memories (and brilliantly sore muscles!). This became best non Lab cache day with 25 traditional cache finds and best weekend! splashcaches.wordpress.com/2β¦
So freaking excited my stamps are here from @NE_Geocaching - mine is the purple and my friends in blue (yes I had to trial it!). She doesnβt know about this yet, and doesnβt have Twitter! But when we go to our meet-up on Saturday I can give it to her π
I did a blog post with all my stats leading up to the last day of august. While looking I found a weird fact. I have apparently never found a geocache in September. Providing my physio class today didnβt finish me off I am hoping to fix that this weekend!

My favourite stats probably are
Oldest cache: January 2002
Cache to cache distance: 14869km
Unique Finders of my Hides: 75!

Decided to start a blog about the geocaches I go out to find and other cool places along the way incase anyone else is curious. As a Leicester based human a lot are local to this area but have connections further afield too and trips planned
