The fact he stepped away from The Wild Robot sequel for this is so interesting to me. Means he either hated the remake so much he felt the need to fix it, or loved it so much he wanted to be involved
Hoping it’s the former so we don’t have to call him washed!

I keep thinking about it, and honestly, the Nintendo Direct today reminds me a lot of the one from E3 2018
Both GREAT for fans of specific franchises, but as a year 2 system lineup? Yeah, could be better!

Think the big difference in reaction is that one had Smash and everyone likes Smash!
But as a kid in 2018 who had never played a Smash game before, Sakurai going over every little detail bored me to death, so by comparison, today’s presentation was more exciting for me

Yeah, I’m NGL, this was probably the announcement that excited me the most ðŸ˜
Still has some issues that Switch Sports had, but the variety of sports here already makes that game look like a tech demo
Cautiously optimistic this could be something!

That Nintendo Direct was ok?
Genuinely just baffled with the lack of Nintendo announcements themselves. Half of what they showed off are games coming out in the next 3 months that we already knew about
One of the few new announcements was achievements just for Donkey Kong ðŸ˜
