1οΈβ£ π Anthropic opens Mythos-class AI to the public with Claude Fable 5
Anthropic released Claude Fable 5, making its Mythos-class AI capabilities available to the public for the first time. The original Mythos Preview had previously been restricted to a small group of vetted cybersecurity and research partners through Project Glasswing. Fable 5 delivers state-of-the-art performance across coding, reasoning, and knowledge-work benchmarks, while introducing additional safety controls that route sensitive cybersecurity, biology, and chemistry requests to Claude Opus 4.8 instead. Anthropic also released Mythos 5 to Glasswing partners with fewer restrictions for cybersecurity research. The launch marks one of the most significant public AI releases of the year and brings Anthropicβs most advanced model family into broader use.
