Among people that aren't household names, Dennis Smith is as important as any sports person in South Florida. UM people have repeatedly told us how critical he is in eyeballing talent and bringing the names to Mario to evaluate, in addition to many other things he does. When I asked Cristobal last year about not having someone with a football GM title, he praised Dennis Smith and made clear how valuable he is; he has many of the roles that a traditional GM would.

This might be the first time that Dennis Smith has spoken publicly in the 4 years he’s been running Miami’s recruiting department.
Haven’t listened yet, but I’m sure Canes fans will enjoy listening to the man who makes it all go in Coral Gables.
