Use an electric or handheld fan, cooling towels, or other cooling technology. Take breaks under shade, in cooling tents, or misting stations. At the first signs of dizziness or weakness, look for medical assistance.

NFPA 1850 is the standard on selection, care and maintenance of firefighter protective gear, including our self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

A quick thinking neighbor stops a kitchen fire from spreading in the Serena Woods Apartments on Hirschfield Road this afternoon. Thankfully there were no injuries. Always stay in the kitchen when cooking on a stove top. Unattended hot pots are a leading cause of residential fires and injuries.
