Queueing at Betty’s, as you do. Well I don’t as a rule as I know best times *taps nose*, but it’s soggy and I’m hungry, so here we are.

Front of queue, we admire classic old Morris Minor parked nearby. Husband says is 4 years newer than his first car. We go quiet as we contemplate how depressing that is.

I had a vegan breakfast. Rosti, paprika aubergine, spinach, baked beans and toast. I decided against asking if I can swap the baked beans for some bacon, or an egg.

She wanted to go to bed but won’t take herself to her crate, she waits for me to tell her. It’s half an hour early so she sat in my eye line and made grumbling noises under her breath to tell me she’s ready. Pain in the ars* or enchanting little scruff bucket? šŸ«¤šŸ™„ #Dogs

I’ve read this 20 times and still can’t work out if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. Never was any good at maths. #SignsOnSunday

Tea and cake in a seventeenth century tea shop. The cake was so dry I think it may be contemporary with the building. Nearly asked if they’d found it under the floorboards.

She even manages to get into close ups, I quite like this one though. I shall call it ā€˜Poppy’s out, hairy snout’

Thought you might like to cool off today. I quite fancy grabbing a handful of snow and rubbing all over my face right now. But not from the post box, it looks angry enough. #PostboxSaturday

I’m sitting beneath a tree bumblebee nest in my birdbox. The drones buzz about outside until it’s their time to pop inside & mate the queen. I’ve had four dead or very knackered ones fall on me as I sit here (they’re harmless). Apparently they die shortly after mating. Odd life.

If you don’t find this fence post fascinating, how the core has decayed but the knots haven’t, then I don’t think we can ever be friends. #Woodensday

You can’t beat the peacefulness of an empty, slightly musty old church. Well I can’t. Clear windows, even better. This one is in Dorset. #WindowsOnWednesday

Drystone wall invisibly snaking down the hillside and running along the river front. An old timer. I’d like to spend some time listening to its stories. #WallsOnWednesday

Sea-ey, birdy afternoon in Yorkshire today. I sat on a tussock and wondered where all the bunny rabbits have gone. Impossible to sit on a tussock a few years ago without sitting on dried rabbit droppings. Not anymore. Where have all the bunnys gone? šŸ¤”šŸ°šŸ«˜

A door somewhat upstaged by the proud boastings of the wall. Charmouth, Dorset. #AdoorableThursday
