(1/3) ⚠️IMPORTANT NOTICE⚠️ Springfield Township was informed this afternoon that, beginning tomorrow, PECO will be conducting repairs on Baltimore Pike near Swarthmore Avenue.

(2/3) As a result of this work, the inner lanes of Baltimore Pike will be closed, with traffic moving in the outer lanes. Additionally, Swarthmore Avenue will be CLOSED during this work. Crews will be working during the day, and possibly returning at night.

(3/3) This work is being done to remedy an emergent gas leak. At this time, there is no danger to the public, and PECO plans to complete this work by the end of the week.

UPDATE (6/13/26) Due to predictions of very heavy storms tomorrow June 14, 2026, the Flag Day event at Old Central School is postponed until 7 PM Monday evening June 15, 2026.
(1/3) In observation of Flag Day, Springfield American Legion Post 227 will be holding a Flag Retirement Ceremony at Old Central School on Saxer Avenue on Sunday, June 14th. The Ceremony will begin at 7:00pm.
