Selling Vuskovic to Brighton and likely bringing in JPVH speaks volumes about the way the club now sees youth-talent and development.
Due to the failure* of the experiment with Bergval/Gray/Takai/Scarlett/Yang/Odobert/Tel last season, we’ve clearly pivoted to exceptional mid-career/Prem-proven players. Whether that is a correct decision or not remains to be seen.
*They are ‘failures’ in the sense that they have made ‘minimal’ impact in the wins column, and that’s just what it’s all about at the end of the day.
It sounds sh*tty but no matter what the trolls say, we’re a MASSIVE club. We cannot allow for several players to develop ON THE PITCH at once. We can probably take 1/2 (maximum) chances on youth in a Premier League campaign. Any more simply tilts the balance too heavily (from my perspective).
This year Mikey Moore and a couple of others will get the shot. It’s 50/50 with Kinsky. There will be no other ‘unknown entities’ I bet. The rest will be ready to fight for RESULTS (🤞).
Vuskovic is highly talented and as usual Brighton will give him the room to fail, and ultimately learn and succeed (if the move happens). We need to be building in a massive sell-on clause into that deal though, as he will no doubt be worth £80-£100m soon in that environment imo
It’s all about timing, and I just don’t see how he fits in at Spurs next season 🤷♂️ Another loan? He seems eager to start for a top team, in a top league though..
Anyways, just my musings..
